Zhē Drūmor, the Mad One, formerly known as Gimīlhizar Sūrīnāgor, was the greatest of the Kembar, being their chief and the creator of the Witen. He fell into darkness when he gave in to the power of the Void in Meldutha, committing many dark deeds which have been willfully forgotten. Zhē Drūmor corrupted many living things to his service, fought the Kembar, and marred Nīmlad in the First War. After the Great Battle he was bound in chains by the Kembar and thrown into Dor Lazban, whose location remains hidden.
Though the Mad One remains in his prison, unable to return to the Wide World, the lies and evils he poured into the hearts of the Elder Children and the Kembar remain; and it is said they will create their evil results till the end of days.
From “Concerning the Kembar”
Gimīlhizar was the chief of the Kembar in his beginning. For this reason, he is surnamed Sūrīnāgor, the First King, and during Nīmlad’s early years was called Sovereign also. The winds and airs were his province, as were the high, cold mountains, and other such places encroaching upon the firmament over which he was master. His countenance was stern, though oft he would temper it with a kind smile; but he could grow wroth when disobeyed, and jealously he guarded power. From his icy mansions at Rankaros, that northernmost land at the top of the world, Gimīlhizar governed his kingdom. There he could perceive much that went on within Nīmlad. The sky was his watchman, and he had as servants many spies to bear him news. His owls he favored most of all, for they were swift of wing; and they were cunning, finding many secrets that would otherwise have remained hidden from him.
But then through envy and fear, he fell into shadow. In that time he sought to spoil the Great Work, and blasted many things to wrack and ruin. Coldness became his herald, storms his weapons, although he twisted much else too into devices meant for war and death. He is now a baleful, resenting spirit, racked with a hatred for all things including himself, for in violence and treachery he hurtled himself headlong flaming down into the Abyss, where there is no happiness unmarred by a more overbearing misery. Therefore he is called Sovereign no longer, save only by his vassals, and among the Children he is dubbed Zhē Drūmor, the Mad One, Enemy of the Earth.
