Dragons, also known as the Great Wyrms, are the firstborn Kindred of the Younger Children. Few lived to see the end of the Days of Wrath, and even fewer have survived till the modern day. They are greedy, cunning, and long-lived; and they tend to gather what treasures they acquire (especially gold) into large hoards which they like to sleep upon.
They were likely created by the Warlock, given that the Dragon Lugal referred to him as his father.
Most Dragons (like Sāshar) were wingless, traveling along the ground on four legs; a few (Lugal) had wings in the place of their two forelimbs, allowing them to fly, although these were a rarer sort.
All Dragons have the ability to breathe fire.
Etymology
Dragon is derived from French; drake is the proper English term, from Old English draca.
Tonshar is the Classical Paternic word for “dragon”.
