There are few Elves—known by some as the Fay—left in the world. Before the Binding, they were a race of high art and beauty; but now, their magic withered, such lore is lost to time, and they attempt nothing new, living in memory of the past. Most Elves lead lonely lives, favoring as refuges high, cold mountains or windy plains. There, they can adore and ponder that which they love most of all natural things: light in all its forms. Alas, such things are only a distraction from a terrible truth: twilight has already passed by the Elves; night is here, and they can only hope that day will come again.

Special Abilities

Starting Skills: Elves begin the game with one rank in Geography or Lore.

Acute Senses: Elves add a Boost Die to Perception and Vigilance checks.

Mountain Folk: When making skill checks, Elves may remove up to 2 Setback Dice imposed due to cold or snow-filled environmental conditions.

Last of their Kind: Elves often imprint significant events in their life as unfading memories called echoes. Once per game session, an Elf may form a new echo that encompasses one scene or encounter. At any time, an Elf may perfectly recall any echo that they have formed or witnessed, or share it with another Elf.
